Yes, a cutting wheel definitely requires more steady air than a die grinder. Also, a die grinder has little torque, but lots of spinning hp. If you need torque, get a pneumatic wrench. I have an Ingersoll-Rand air wrench I used for my motor disassembly. Finally, while my compressor turns off at 135 psi. and back on at 100 psi., that's too much for the garage in my house. I just don't feel comfortable with it. I'm now in the process of adjusting my pressure switch to come on at 90 psi. and off at ~110 psi. We'll see how that goes. For reference, my shelves are roughly 7'x7'x18".
